This past Tuesday on October 13, 2020, at 8:00 PM EST,  the Confraternity of Our Lady of Fatima held its first annual meeting via a Facebook live broadcast. His Excellency Bishop Athanasius Schneider was invited to address the members and guests with a talk on Our Lady of Fatima and Her request that Russia is consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Unfortunately, for some “mysterious” reason, according to His Excellency, the internet was turned off at his episcopal residence during the time of the broadcast. Bishop Schneider came on for about a minute and then went dark because the internet was turned off.

The host of the broadcast, Dr. Micahel Sirilla of Franciscan University, and Christopher P. Wendt, the International Director of the Confraternity opted to pray a Rosary while everyone waited for the bishop to get back on.

At the end of the Rosary, His Excellency still was not on the live broadcast, so Dr. Sirilla, closed with the prayer that Bishop Schneider composed called the Prayer that the Holy Father Will Consecrate Russia.

He then announced that His Excellency would come on in future broadcast and do a Q&A session since the attendees had so many questions.

About 15 minutes after the broadcast was over, the internet was turned back on and he spoke with Mr. Wendt and explained what happened and that he would send a recording of his address to the new members.
