Hell is a Real Danger

Bishop Schneider warns that the idea “almost everyone goes to heaven” is false and contradicts Jesus’ teachings. He emphasizes the real danger of eternal damnation, comparing ignoring it to failing to warn someone near a cliff, calling such false reassurance irresponsible and a grave sin against love of neighbor.

Michael Voris: One of the things we hear a lot, particularly in America, is this idea that almost everybody goes to heaven, and almost nobody, if anybody, goes to hell.

Bishop Schneider: Well, this is a lie. It directly contradicts the words of our Lord, Jesus Christ, our Divine Teacher. He said to us, in the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, that it is a real possibility to be condemned eternally. In the very central parable of Jesus in Matthew 25, the Last Judgment, Jesus clearly states that those on the left go to eternal hell, which is prepared for the devil and his followers. This is a real danger.

To speak in the manner you described is irresponsible. I would compare it to observing a person approaching an abyss or a cliff and not warning them. There is a real danger they could fall, and if I do not warn them, I am responsible for their potential harm. It is possible they might not fall, but it is possible they will.

It is a joke with the eternal destiny of a human soul when clergy say, “Don’t worry, don’t be afraid, you all go to heaven.” This is very irresponsible. I even consider it a great sin against the love of neighbor.
