Bishop Schneider | ‘Confusion from Pope Francis’ blocked Charlie Kirk’s conversion

Bishop Schneider believes Charlie Kirk would have joined the Catholic Church if not for confusion caused by Pope Francis. He explains that this confusion during the last pontificate made it difficult for non-Catholic Christians seeking the truth. A strong, clear pope defending Church teachings might have led Kirk to embrace Catholicism.

Bishop Schneider: I think that Charlie Kirk would have joined the Catholic Church.

John Henry Westen: Charlie, in his invincible ignorance, by his own testimony, was looking to Catholicism. But he said the number one thing keeping him back from Catholicism was the confusion coming from Pope Francis, and that was a very difficult thing for him.

Bishop Schneider: Yes, I think this is also a kind of mitigating circumstance, this huge confusion that, unfortunately, the last pontificate of Pope Francis caused in the Church and in those who are outside the Church. Therefore, God will also take into account this very difficult circumstance of confusion for those non Catholic Christians who were seeking the truth. I think that if we had a pope who was strong and crystal clear in defending Jesus Christ, who clearly showed the sacredness of marriage and God’s creation of man and woman, and who fought, even as a pope, against worldwide gender ideology with courage, and invited other Christians to join the fullness of the Catholic faith by explaining it to them, I think that Charlie Kirk would have joined the Catholic Church.
