Bishop Schneider states that the Church’s faith is stronger than any individual pope, and thus it can endure an erring pope, who is not eternal. He emphasizes applying common sense, a supernatural vision, and knowledge of Church history to avoid viewing such situations as irresolvable.

And because the entire faith of the church is stronger, the church can endure an erring pope because he is not eternal. It’s common sense we have to apply, besides the supernatural vision, simply common sense, practical sense. Know the history of the church and say this case is irresolvable.
