It is not for us to know the times, as Jesus Christ said to the apostles before the Holy Spirit came. They wanted to know exactly the time. It is not, and it is always dangerous to establish a chronology or timetable.
In Church history, we had several sects, and now, in our day, some claim Christ will come next year or in ten years. It is not for us to know this time, but we have the possibility to discern, to know the signs of the time. Christ gave us this knowledge in the Gospel, and we can observe the signs, especially the great apostasy, which is obvious now, not only in the world but inside the Church.
The apostasy, to a great extent, and then the great revolt, the rebellion against God in society itself, in humanity, against His commandments. Let us say the obvious commandments, the six commandments, regarding marriage and sexuality, the order of creation as men and women. This is a wise order of God that He gave us.
Now we see a new world, a new, I would say, neo-communist world. Gender ideology is a rebellion against God, a revolt against God, and this is horrible. We can compare this with the signs of the Apocalypse, as we read in the Book of Revelation, where people, even in the midst of God’s punishments and chastisements, were blaspheming God. We see this today; they are blaspheming God. This ideology, or the people who represent this ideology, is, in my opinion, a sign of apocalyptic times.
The rebellion against the fundamental order of creation is when men and women reject marriage. Then there is the horrible, worldwide, unique genocide of the unborn. It is a rebellion against the fifth commandment and truly a hatred of life itself, which is diabolical because the devil is, as our Lord said, the murderer from the beginning.
These two great phenomena, the gender ideology and the abortion industry, and now connected with the fatal industry, are even more horrible. It is a kind of apocalyptic sign. With this fatal industry, we are very close to a horrible phenomenon of cannibalism, global cannibalism, not direct, I would say, but implicit. We are approaching this by using products taken from the bodies of murdered children to survive or to have health and comfort. These are some examples.
Then there is the growing new paganism: the adoration of the Earth, the adoration of the climate, the adoration of man. This is also a kind of apostasy. When Saint Paul writes about the Antichrist putting himself at the center to be adored, now man puts himself at the center, even inside the Church during liturgies, putting himself in the focus of attention, and so on. This is a hidden and implicit adoration of man.
These signs are, without doubt, closer to apocalyptic times, but we do not know the years or how long the periods will last. God can intervene through Our Lady, we hope, through her Immaculate Heart, and grant humanity a time of peace, because Our Lady promised this in Fatima.
We do not know when, but we can believe that maybe God will intervene and grant the Church a time of true springtime, a smaller renewal without all the apparatus of establishment, nomenclature, and bureaucracy, but a true, living, vibrant Catholic Church with holy popes, I think, holy bishops, holy priests, and already holy families.
There are already holy families, but we do not have many holy and courageous people in the higher ranks of the Mystical Body of Christ today. They will come, I hope, and then there will be a renewal of the Church. We do not know the future, but I agree that these signs of the times we have to recognize that they are already similar to the apocalyptic.
Therefore, as a consequence, we have to increase our prayers, increase acts of reparation for these horrible crimes of humanity, to make reparation and adoration. This should be done first by the Pope and the Episcopacy to set an example in acts of revelation and prayer as the apostles did.
Saint Peter said our first duty is to pray and to proclaim the truth, so Saint Peter in the Acts of the Apostles, and this will be the way of the Church.
