The Sacredness of the Liturgy: Dangers in Music and Charismatic Prayer – Bishop Athanasius Schneider

Interview Organization: Sursum Corda - VCR
Date: July 5, 2021
Note: This interview is in Spanish
Bishop Athanasius Schneider warns that charismatic-style prayer and music during Eucharistic adoration and liturgy, derived from Protestant and Pentecostal practices, are dangerous and inappropriate. He explains that sacred music must be sober, reverent, universal, and ordered to contemplation, not emotional excitement, since exaggerated emotionalism leads to subjectivism, distraction, and loss of reverence toward God.
