Liturgical abuse occurs when a priest disregards the Missal’s rubrics. The priest is not the owner of the liturgy and must follow its prescribed form faithfully. Any deviation is a serious violation and a grave misbehavior, not permitted by the Church’s liturgical norms.

No, it is wrong. It is an abuse. It is not permitted by the rubrics of the Missal. The priest must observe the rubrics faithfully. He cannot simply act as the owner of the liturgy. This is a grave misbehavior and an abuse of the liturgy.
