Bishop Schneider said the Church permits broadcasting Holy Mass for the sick, but it is not equivalent to physical participation. He noted that priests may broadcast Mass, catechesis, and blessings with the Blessed Sacrament, but warned against lay people broadcasting in ways that reduce reverence for the Blessed Sacrament.

If you like what we do and want to regularly support our mission to build the Reign of Mary and/or assist the episcopal ministry of Bishop Athanasius Schneider, please consider becoming a Servant of Mary.

Well, the Church does allow the broadcast of Holy Masses for the sick, so it is not the same as participating in a real, physical Holy Mass. We have to make this distinction clear. It is only a means of praying for those people.

A priest, yes, can celebrate and transmit it. Mass and catechesis can be broadcast. Even the blessing before or after Mass with the Blessed Sacrament by a priest may be broadcast.

But I think it should not be broadcast by lay people doing this in a way that would diminish reverence toward the Blessed Sacrament. That risks contributing to a decrease in the sense of reverence toward the Blessed Sacrament.
