Question 61 – My ReligiOus Order Is Forbidding Me To Celebrate The Traditional Mass, What Do I Do?

Interview Organization: Confraternity of Our Lady of Fatima
Interviewer Name: Christopher P. Wendt

The Salesian order is not necessary for your salvation; your faith in Christ and reverence for the Eucharist are what truly matter. If the Traditional Latin Mass and Eucharistic reverence are more valuable to you, it is logical to leave the congregation. The Church allows you to seek a bishop who supports your traditional priesthood.
If you like what we do and want to regularly support our mission to build the Reign of Mary and/or assist the episcopal ministry of Bishop Athanasius Schneider, please consider becoming a Servant of Mary.

Transcript:

The Salesian order is not necessary for your salvation. You are free, you are not bound to this order because you have to choose for the greater good.

We have to weigh on your conscience, which is far greater and necessary for you. In this case, when the Traditional Latin Mass and the reverence of the Eucharist have objectively more value for you. It is logical then if you want to leave the congregation and I repeat, the congregation is not necessary for your salvation, but your faith in Christ and your love, fidelity, and reverence for the Eucharist.

The church gives you the freedom to leave the community at your discretion and to find a benevolent bishop who will allow you to exercise your priesthood traditionally.
