We need to define the term "schism." Schism signifies a separation from the unity with the pope, who serves as the head of the Church. The other matter is the concept of heresy; we have to distinguish heresy from schism. Schism is only a practical measure that you are not united with the official and legitimate shepherds of the Church, even if nowadays they are promoting doctrinal confusion and heresy in some way.
There is, of course, only one church, which we proclaim in The Creed: I believe in one holy Catholic church. " There is no such thing as a conciliar church. These bishops and priests who claim we are the conciliar church are truly incorrect. It is a demonstration that they want to establish a new church that is different from the One Catholic Apostolic Church of all times.
They are usurping the name of the church for their liberal agenda. They are protecting themselves in the Conciliar Church, or Vatican II. Never in the history of the church have they made declarations such as the Church of the Council of Trent or Church of the First Lateran Council. The Catholic Church stays unchanged. They are saying that we have a new faith and spirit in the church, which is completely false. Even if such views are supported by high-ranking clergy, we shouldn't adhere to them.
One of the parables in the Gospel compares the Church to a field of wheat with weeds growing among the wheat, and occasionally the weeds outgrow the wheat. The weeds, the false church, are posing as the real church in some fashion and have taken over the high-ranking positions in the church. They may be representing the bad plants in the field, but we are all in one field, which the Lord is tending.
We have to avoid unnecessary conflicts between the good ones, especially those that value the traditional faith and liturgy. In these times of confusion, institutions like the Society of St. Pius X, the Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter, the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, and other traditional Latin Mass communities should collaborate and take collective action to preserve the moral life, the beauty of the liturgy, and the integrity of the faith.
These are the three things that every traditional community wishes to preserve and promote the most. Prioritizing these shared goals will require us to make sacrifices and renounce disagreements and secondary conflicts.
We must recognize that the spirit of hostility does not come from God or the Holy Spirit, and we must consequently renounce it, especially when such communities speak negatively about one another. We must fully comprehend the danger we face, and as a result, we must bring together all traditional Catholics, including the Society of Saint Pius X, as our ultimate goal is the same.
