Question 73 – How Do We Keep Our Hope Amidst The Crisis In The Church?

Interview Organization: Confraternity of Our Lady of Fatima
Interviewer Name: Christopher P. Wendt
Date: January 13, 2022
Our response should be fidelity, viewing this crisis through Divine Providence, trusting that God permitted it for a greater good, as St. Augustine said. Despite restrictions, God calls us to greater trust in Him. He will use this crisis to strengthen the Traditional Mass and deepen faith. Laypeople can help priests, offer praise at home, or even build a chapel if needed.
If you like what we do and want to regularly support our mission to build the Reign of Mary and/or assist the episcopal ministry of Bishop Athanasius Schneider, please consider becoming a Servant of Mary.

Transcript:

Our response is our fidelity, and we also have to see this crisis in the light of divine providence, that God permitted this. St. Augustine said that God permits evil to produce a greater good. Brothers and sisters, the lay people, we have to see this in the light of Divine Providence.

Maybe God is calling you to greater fidelity. Maybe He is calling you to a greater trust in Him despite the hopelessness you feel from these humanly issued restrictions and limitations from these documents. Despite all this, you have to nurture your trust in God that He will overcome this crisis.

God is so mighty and powerful that He can and He will use this crisis for the greater good, that the Traditional Mass will grow even more, and that it will eradicate in the souls of the faithful. This is our hope. So, as lay people, you can continue helping priests or offer praise to God in your house or if necessary, build a chapel in your area.
