There are different examples of penance depending on your lifestyle and condition of life, and you must ask God and your guardian angel to guide you. Penance can be small, hidden actions like abstaining from certain foods, waking earlier, avoiding television, supporting difficult people, or remaining silent in all cases.

If you like what we do and want to regularly support our mission to build the Reign of Mary and/or assist the episcopal ministry of Bishop Athanasius Schneider, please consider becoming a Servant of Mary.

There are different examples, according to your lifestyle, to your condition of life, and you have to ask God, your guardian angel, to illuminate you, what kind of penance you can do. It could be some obligation in eating or drinking, or it could be very discreet. When you think it could be a very small action, for example, not to take sugar or not to take salt, and so on. No one will observe this. It is better to make such penances which are hidden, not seen by others, for example, or to wake 10 minutes earlier in the morning. This could be a small act of balance, and not to assist television, maybe, and so on. Sometimes it could be a penance to support a difficult person in your neighborhood, in your family, or to keep silent, not to answer. Always, it could be a good, salutary dependence. So, I repeat, it depends on your conditions.
