This is not a recognized prophecy from the church. We must not accept this so-called 'Three Days of Darkness' as truth. There is no guarantee that this is true or not; we do not know. We cannot consider this certain because the church has not given any guarantee about it. This could also be a deception; you have to be very careful. There are so many prophecies in the Revelations. This might be a tactic from the devil to spread confusion among good Catholics with these series of apparition phenomena.
We have to remain sober; we do not need these apparitions unless they are carefully examined by the church and approved. I do not believe that these so-called Dark days are true. We should not be too materialistic and egoistic about this by preparing candles and food. We have to trust in God; when the time of trial and persecution comes, He will provide for His children, even the necessary material needs. As Jesus said, we should not worry about what to eat or what to wear. This is what the pagans do. Your father knows what you need. When we truly believe in the Lord, trust in Him, and seek first the Kingdom of God with faith, God will not abandon us.
This was demonstrated in the history of the church with all the saints and Catholic families. It was my own experience when my parents were almost dying from starvation in the camps during the Soviet Union; God provided for them because they trusted in Him. We have to trust in the Lord.
