Question 173 – Should I risk losing my job for refusing to accommodate the pronouns of transgendered students at my school?

Interview Organization: Confraternity of Our Lady of Fatima
Interviewer Name: Christopher P. Wendt
Date: March 13, 2023
We cannot compromise our convictions by endorsing blasphemy against God's order, such as misgendering a clearly female individual. Renouncing our beliefs would harm the young person involved. It’s essential to prioritize integrity over job security, even if it means risking employment, rather than participating in such actions.
If you like what we do and want to regularly support our mission to build the Reign of Mary and/or assist the episcopal ministry of Bishop Athanasius Schneider, please consider becoming a Servant of Mary.

Transcript:

In this case, we cannot compromise to do such horrible things. It is blasphemy against the order of God, the Creator, to refer to a female sex as male. We would be harming this young person if we were to renounce our convictions. We should collaborate in any way, even if it means risking your job. You should be willing to prioritize losing your job and other things over collaborating in such blasphemy and participating in such horrible actions.
