This style is typical of modernism, as Pope Saint Pius X already pointed out more than one hundred years ago. The method of modernism is not to present a plain and open heresy, but rather to leave ideas weak and ambiguous. This final document creates an atmosphere of vagueness and confusion. And where there is confusion, a lack of clarity, a lack of light, error is more likely to grow and increase.
This kind of document prepares the ground for the growth of many harmful elements, of ambiguity and confusion. And in such confusion, those with bad intentions are protected by a cloud of fog and mist, which allows them to carry out their plans to undermine the Catholic faith. This is the situation we now face, an atmosphere filled with spiritual fog and spiritual mist.
