Q338 – How can I face Judgment Day if I trust the Son more than the Father?

Jesus Christ will judge all people, as the Father has given Him this role a truth of faith. Yet, the Holy Trinity is indivisible all divine actions are united. At judgment, the whole Trinity is present, though we directly face Christ. Praying to one Person honors all three inseparably.

Transcript:

Well, our Lord said that the Father gave judgment to Him. The Father gave the judgment, He will judge all people. Jesus Christ, and this is a truth of faith. At the same time, it is also a truth that the Holy Trinity is indivisible. This is a principle of Catholic theology that all the works of the Holy Trinity outside the Trinity itself, outside the inner divine life, are common to all three Persons. They act together, in unity.

Therefore, at the moment of judgment, it will be the entire Holy Trinity present, of course. But perhaps, directly, we will face our Lord Jesus Christ as the one who judges us. And so, if we pray to our Lord Jesus Christ, we also pray to and adore the Father and the Holy Spirit. If we invoke the Holy Spirit and adore Him, at the same time and inseparably, we also adore and honor the Father and the Son.
