Well, what happened in St. Peter with the LGBT is already very sad and a kind of continuation of what Pope Francis did with the confusion regarding homosexual activity. And this already has to concern Catholics, that at this point, nothing has changed and nothing has improved. And then also his official audience for Father James Martin, one of the greatest lobbyists and activists in favor of changing the doctrine of the Church regarding the sinfulness of homosexual acts. Father James Martin is promoting the changing of the Church's teaching in this, and it is known, and the Pope granted him an official audience with photographs and so on.
And then the triumphant messages of Father Martin after the audience on all social media said the Pope even confirmed him and encouraged him to continue. And the Holy See did not correct this message of Father James. And so it is also very grievous not to correct him. When someone silences such an important claim that the Pope is supporting Father James in his activity and in his pastoral work, then silencing it is a sign that the Pope is agreeing with him.
If the Pope does not agree with the position of Father James, he must necessarily and urgently issue at least a small command and say that the Holy See is not supporting the advocacy of Father James to change the Church's teaching on homosexuality. At least to dispel these doubts, the Pope has to do it. But even I saw the audience itself. It was a message of confusion, and it should not have happened. He could do it in another way, maybe privately, without photos and so on, and admonishing him paternally to convert himself and accept the Church's teaching. This would be a gesture of fatherly charity and authority toward Father James Martin from the Pope. But I do not know what they spoke. I hope he could admonish him, but at least officially it is spread that he confirmed him in his activity.
