Question 126 – What are my options if the Pope cancels the Latin Mass everywhere in the world?

Interview Organization: Confraternity of Our Lady of Fatima
Interviewer Name: Christopher P. Wendt
An independent church is a schism and not acceptable. The Traditional Latin Mass must be celebrated by a morally worthy priest who acknowledges the Pope and his bishop. It is recommended to attend a diocesan Traditional Mass authorized by the local bishop or those from recognized institutes like the Fraternity of St. Peter.
If you like what we do and want to regularly support our mission to build the Reign of Mary and/or assist the episcopal ministry of Bishop Athanasius Schneider, please consider becoming a Servant of Mary.

Transcript:

First, I would reject the option of having an independent church which is not true; this is a schism and we cannot do such a thing. The Traditional Latin Mass can only be celebrated by a priest of good standing, who is morally worthy, not a guru or a sectarian leader who is building up a group of followers around him, and as I have said, the priest should mention the current Pope, Pope Francis, and his Bishop, naming them in the canon of the mass: this is the first rule.

Of course, the hierarchy should attend first a Traditional Mass that is authorized by the local bishop (there are still bishops who authorize the Traditional Latin Mass). Then you can attend a Traditional Latin Mass from the Society of Pius X. It is not necessarily a hierarchy, you can still choose whether or not to attend a Diocesan Traditional Mass or from other institutes, the so-called “Ex-Ecclesia Dei” such as the Fraternity of St. Peter, Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, Institute of the Good Shepherd, and others who have these faculties in their institutions that are recognized by the Holy See if there are no available masses from the Society of Pius X since they recognize the Pope and have some faculties from the Pope such as confession and assistance of wedding.
