Question 133 – What is the Catholic view on the Synod of synodality?

Interview Organization: The Confraternity of Our Lady of Fatima
Interviewer Name: Christopher P. Wendt
The Synod of Synodality is criticized for potentially undermining the Catholic faith by supporting issues like the LGBT movement and women deacons, which contradict traditional teachings. Critics argue this leads to confusion and apostasy, urging the Pope to prioritize catechesis and reject platforms for heresies, upholding the Church's unchanging faith.

Transcript:

I think the Synod of Synodality undermines and dilutes the clarity of our Catholic faith. We have to profess our Catholic faith and be witnesses of the unchanging Catholic faith. Everyone, from the lay faithful to the bishops, must profess the faith. Bishops, most especially, have to profess their faith in the diocese.

Unfortunately, even the officials of the Synod of Synodality in the Vatican can be observed that they are showing signs of readiness to undermine the Catholic faith by accepting the so-called “LGBT movement” which is a sin against nature and its divine order. And then also their promotion of diaconate women, which is against the Catholic faith. The sacrament of ordination is one and is God’s revelation to man (male). There are also other issues, simply in the efforts of making the Church adapt to the fashions and spirit of this world, the unbelieving world.

This leads to apostasy, from the purity and clarity of the Catholic faith and we have to state this. As a bishop, I cannot participate in such meetings of heresies because the leadership of this Synod of Synodality is accepting these anti-Christian movements such as the LGBT and the feminist movement.

It confuses more the Catholic faith. We hope and pray that the Pope will not approve such things but instead allow and give platforms for catechism against these heresies, which the Church already condemned. Giving them platforms to promote heresies is evil and is against the meaning of the Church and the meaning of a synod itself.
