Question 256 – Should I still bring my relative to Holy Mass if he does not believe in the sacraments?

Interview Organization: The Confraternity of Our Lady of Fatima
Interviewer Name: Christopher Wendt

If someone is not ready for Holy Communion, it could be sacrilegious and harm their soul. Fraternal admonishment is necessary, encouraging them to attend Mass without receiving Communion. God may touch their soul at any moment, leading to conversion. Catholics are obliged to attend Mass, and prayers for their conversion are important.
If you like what we do and want to regularly support our mission to build the Reign of Mary and/or assist the episcopal ministry of Bishop Athanasius Schneider, please consider becoming a Servant of Mary.

Well, I assume that he will know he should not go to Holy Communion, as that would be a sacrilege and would damage his soul.

I hope this is not the case. However, if it happens, they should admonish him fraternally not to do so and advise him to speak with the priest. But simply attending Mass, I would say, is something they can encourage, because we don’t know when God will touch his soul.

There may come a moment during Holy Mass when God touches his soul, and he could experience conversion. In this case, we must continue to support him. If he is Catholic, he is obligated to attend Mass; this is his duty. And then, we should pray for his conversion.
