If attending a ceremony for a close family member or friend, it's fulfilling a duty of piety without professing a different religion. While you shouldn't participate in non-Catholic prayers, a passive presence is acceptable.
If you like what we do and want to regularly support our mission to build the Reign of Mary and/or assist the episcopal ministry of Bishop Athanasius Schneider, please consider becoming a Servant of Mary.

Well, it depends. If the venue is for a very close family member, I think yes, because you're simply fulfilling your duty of piety toward this family member or very close friend, and you are not professing a different religion by attending.

Of course, you do not have to participate in the prayers, it's impossible to participate in non-Catholic prayers. However, a passive presence is acceptable.
