Question 15 – What Are We Suppose To Do, Your Excellency, About The Vaccine?

Interview Organization: Confraternity of Our Lady of Fatima
Interviewer Name: Christopher P. Wendt
Date: December 13, 2020
Many people, including Orthodox Christians and Muslims, instinctively rejected vaccines linked to abortion, demonstrating the Sensus Fidelium. Catholics must avoid any connection to abortion, even remotely, to maintain a clear stance against it. As Bishop Strickland said, he would prefer prison over accepting such vaccines. Truth is not about numbers but about unwavering testimony.

Transcript:

You can read the statement, it is clear and simple. It is so evident, even here in Kazakhstan and elsewhere. I have researched simple people, among the faithful of the Orthodox Church, and even Muslim people, who are good people and morally good models.

They all instinctively rejected any kind of vaccine that had any kind of connection with abortion. It is interesting. They said to me, "It is so clear; you do not have to give me a 10-page explanation of material remote passive cooperation." It is evident. This is impossible, not even the slightest implicit link to abortion. It cannot be. For me, it was a demonstration of the Sensus Fidelium. Even in the case of the Muslim people, the natural law is rejected.

This is, for me, a very good demonstration. We cannot collaborate or permit Catholics the slightest struggle with any link to abortion. And, in this case, it is evident. There is no justification for remote cooperation, and so on. It will cast a shadow, in any case, upon our crystal-clear witness against abortion. We have to give this witness.

As Bishop Strickland said in one of his videos, he would prefer to go to prison. It is a beautiful statement from a Catholic bishop. And I would also say the same rather than accepting a vaccine, even with the slightest and most remote connections to abortion. We have to be very clear and give testimony. We cannot have the slightest connection with the cruelest genocide, the apocalyptic genocide of innocent unborn children.

This was the meaning of the statement, and my fellow bishops and cardinals all said, "We have to speak," even when we remain a small group. The truth is not dependent on the numbers. but on the truth itself. But, as I repeat, my consolation is that the majority of the laypeople are reacting very clearly and strongly. And this is a demonstration of the truth, too.
