Just as Jesus Christ never revealed to the Apostles the precise hour of the Holy Spirit's coming, it is not for us to know. When we establish chronological dimensions to prophetic teachings, we must use extreme cautions. Throughout the Church's history, various groups have predicted the return of Christ; some have said it will happen in 10 years, while others say it will happen in 50. However, we are capable of discerning the signs of time.
The great apostasy is unfolding in the world as well as in the Church. This type of great apostasy manifests itself in terms of a great revolt, such as man's cruelty to the weak and vulnerable, disobedience of the sixth commandment pertaining the sanctity of marriage, disorder of God's creation of men and women's sexuality and gender ideology, widespread support for communism, hatred of one's life, and all other actions deeply ingrained into society which are opposed to God. This can be compared to the apocalyptic signs in the Book of Revelation.
I believe that the world is gradually moving toward this great rebellion, thus I consider this as a sign. I believe that the world is gradually headed toward this horrible rebellion against the fundamental order of creation, and as a result, I perceive it as a sign.
Abortion and gender ideology are the two principal rebellious forces in this new great rebellion. Along with the adoration of the earth, the environment, and man, we also have the developing modern paganism. Man no longer considers God; instead, man just considers what he perceives to be proper for society, despite its disordered methods.
These signs are to an apocalyptic time, but we do not know its duration. We need to hope that God will intervene through Our Lady especially through her Immaculate Heart and grant humanity the peace and conversion. We do not know when Our Lady of Fatima made this promise to the world, but we consider it to be in accordance with God's will.
The Church needs a holy Pope, holy bishops, holy priests, and courageous people in the higher ranks of the Mystical Body of Christ for the renewal of the Church to occur, and maybe she will have her genuine spring time despite her imperfections in management and bureaucratic administrations.
We can never predict the future but I am seeing the realities of the signs of time and its apocalyptic possibilities. For the time being, we recourse to increase our fervent prayers and in acts of reparations to the horrible crimes against humanity. In the same way that the apostles did, particularly St. Peter, who encouraged them to pray and speak the truth first; the Pope and the episcopacy should continue to be exemplary models of these reparations and prayers.
